Saturday, David Lamb of Brown Bird died. We got the news yesterday evening. He'd been seriously ill since last spring. The band brought Kathryn and I enormous joy. Brown Bird was one of the few things that could, pretty much without fail, get me to leave the House. Yesterday, well...I did say in theory. Which is to say, that I didn't get to the edits for Pink Delicious. But, I will today. In theory.

Mostly, I sat here and dithered. And fretted.

Yesterday, I wrote the first four pages of Alabaster: Boxcar Tales Chapter 10 (of 13), which comes to nine manuscript pages, or 2,348 words. Today, I'll finish Chapter 10.
